GP teams deliver daily care to self-isolated coronavirus patients

The SA scheme will also care for a group of Australians repatriated from India

Two new dedicated teams of GPs and nurses will look after South Australians who have tested positive for COVID-19, but are well enough to self-isolate at home.

Forty specialist GPs and a flexible roster of nurses will provide the care across the two teams.

The Remote Monitoring Service’s nurses will phone patients to check on their symptoms each day.

Patients will be assessed on how they’re coping at home, and can organise extra consultations with the teams’ GPs .
