GP thanks patient for intervening in alleged axe attack by stalker
A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder over the alleged assault on Perth GP Dr Anna Chaney.
A GP has thanked a patient who rushed to her aid as she was allegedly attacked by a stalker armed with an axe.
Christopher Bernard Healey, 55, has now been charged with attempted murder of Dr Anna Chaney after turning up at her Perth practice on Thursday morning.
Dr Chaney was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and discharged the following day.
In a statement given to The West Australian, she thanked both first responders and her colleagues for coming to her aid.
