The GP who administered the wrong COVID-19 vaccine dose to two aged care residents will be reported to AHPRA.

The Federal Government has confirmed that an 88-year-old man and a 94-year-old woman received up to four times the required 0.3mL dose of the Pfizer vaccine at Holy Spirit Carseldine in Brisbane.

The doctor, who was taking part in the vaccination program yesterday as a contractor employed by Healthcare Australia, has since been stood down over the incident.

The mistake was picked up by a nurse.
