GP who treated murderer Erin Patterson ‘crushed’ by accusations of misogyny and ableism
A GP accused of misogyny and bigotry for describing Erin Patterson as a “crazy bitch” and “disturbed sociopathic nutbag” says his comments have been taken out of context.
Dr Chris Webster has been subject to a barrage of complaints following various media interviews where he spoke about his experiences as a witness in the high-profile triple murder case.
He was one of the doctors who saw Ms Patterson at Leongatha Hospital in Gippsland after two of her dinner guests had been admitted with toxic mushroom poisoning.
But it was his comments to the Herald Sun where he described his reaction when he first realised that Ms Patterson may have deliberately harmed them which seem to have triggered the complaints against him.
