GP’s anger at Labor’s bulk-billing pledge: ‘I went through all the stages of grief’

An RACGP faculty chair has described going through “all the stages of grief” after the Federal Government decided to expand higher bulk-billing incentives to all patients.

RACGP NSW&ACT chair Dr Rebekah Hoffman told a college webinar last week she “went through denial, through being really, really angry, and upset”.

“I do appreciate the opportunity for some practices across Australia,” she said.

“But that’s not going to be the case for my practice.”
