GPs confused over conflicting COVID-19 vax advice for pregnancy

Contradictory advice on giving pregnant women the coronavirus vaccine is causing “a lot of unnecessary conflict” between doctors, practice managers and nurses, a Victorian GP says.
Dr Anne Stephenson says her practice is divided over whether they stick to the Federal Government’s rules for Pfizer eligibility for 40 to 60-year-olds to have the vaccine.
Or follow Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) and RANZCOG advice that recommends vaccinating pregnant women.
“It’s confusing, and in my clinic it has actually caused quite a lot of unnecessary conflict amongst our practice manager and some of the doctors and our nurses,” she tells 6minutes.
