GPs face patient consent headaches after ATAGI revamps vaccine advice

Australia has rewritten its COVID-19 vaccination plan to urge people younger than 50 to get the Pfizer vaccine because of the risk of rare, unusual blood clots linked to AstraZeneca’s shot.

Last night Prime Minister Scott Morrison fronted the media to announce the changes to ATAGI’s advice which is likely to increase the workload of GPs tasked with ensuring patients are fully informed about the vaccine’s risk profile.
