GPs finally offered recovery cash to fix practices ravaged by floods a year ago

GPs struggling to pay for repairs and equipment lost in the northern NSW floods can finally apply for $150,000 in recovery funds.Â
A year after the event, the NSW and Federal governments are providing $5 million in relief.
The fund was announced by federal Minister for Health and Aged Care Mark Butler last week.
It was still two months after the RACGP, AMA and Pharmacy Guild of Australia got together in a rare show of unity to demand greater government support for GP clinics and pharmacies.
