GPs offered up to $10k to ‘turbocharge’ vaccine clinics

A leading GP has welcomed state government grants worth up to $10,000 designed to help Victorian general practices “turbocharge” the COVID-19 vaccine roll-out.
Announced by Premier Dan Andrews on Monday, the COVID-19 Vaccination Enhancement Grants will be available to GPs and pharmacists across 11 local government areas (LGA) in Melbourne struggling with COVID-19 outbreaks.
On offer are 120 grants worth $4000 for clinics able to offer large scale vaccination sessions, including walk-in appointments where possible, in the weeks commencing 4 and 11 October.
Up to 10 of these grants will be boosted to $10,000 if GPs can demonstrate they are able to deliver even more vaccines.
