GPs say income is down significantly with some fearing for the future: RACGP survey
Some 10% of GPs say they are pessimistic about the financial viability of their practice amid the revenue slump resulting from the COVID-19 response.
The figure comes from some 980 GPs who responded to an RACGP online survey conducted in May.
Asked if they were confident their practice would remain viable over the next six months, a further 31% of respondents said they felt “neutral” on the topic.
In the same survey nearly three quarters of GPs said their income in May 2020 was significantly lower than during the same month last year.
