GPs scramble to help patients ahead of border closures
Doctors from border towns of NSW and Victoria are scrambling to prepare their practices and patients for the closure of state lines overnight.
GP Dr Clyde Ronan of the Yarrawonga Medical Clinic in Victoria has been making plans to help patients stranded in the snap border closure.
On Monday, state premiers announced the border between the two states would be closed from midnight Tuesday, in a bid to contain the upswing in Melbourne COVID-19 cases.
Residents will be permitted to cross with special exemptions, but detail on exactly what those measures and arrangements would entail were being finalised on Tuesday.
