A medical crisis in Yackandandah has been averted — at least for now — after a controversial takeover of the town’s only GP practice failed to go through.
All five GPs in the small Victorian rural town had vowed to quit if the sale to national aged care provider Apollo Care proceeded, citing concerns about the company’s ability to run a general practice.
