GPs are being urged to share their public hospital horror stories, as part of a landmark AMA campaign to reform funding ahead of the Federal Government election.

Public hospital funding is at the top of its federal election campaign, says the AMA, to signal the urgent need to address ambulance ramping, bed blocking and long waiting lists, which have been amplified by the pandemic.

An integral part of the Clear the Hospital Logjam campaign will be a series of ‘town halls’ in every state and territory, to gather testimony from frontline ED staff, GPs and patients, it says.
