Greens Senator accuses ‘disingenuous’ pharmacy guild of lobbying for vapes to be made S2

For a group pushing for pharmacists to diagnose more, prescribe more and dispense more, it seems there is one place it does not want to go.

This week, the Pharmacy Guild of Australia reacted in rage at Federal Government moves to make nicotine vapes S3 products.

The down-scheduling means GPs will be relieved of the prescribing job, with the task of guiding those wanting to quit cigarettes through vapes shifting to the pharmacist.

And we know relieving GPs of workload is what the guild is all about.
