“My practice has been destroyed. All my patients are elsewhere. My savings have been diminished. I have no property to speak of.”

Dr William Pridgeon is talking to Australian Doctor.

He is explaining how his life has been ruined by the NSW Medical Council, whose decision to suspend him under emergency powers back in 2018 was last week described by the NSW Court of Appeal as “irrational”.

The suspension, lasting more than three and a half years, was imposed after he was charged by the Australian Federal Police with child stealing.
