Each Thursday Dr Matt Young and his team hit the road in a Toyota HiAce plastered in VW logos, offering testing and treatment for hepatitis C at homeless shelters and rehabilitation clinics.

The Kombi Clinic has brought patients to tears of joy, generated an ‘old lady’ knitting support team and a lot of mechanic bills.

After seven years, it’s also helped Dr Young earn an OAM for his service to community health in the 2024 Australia Day honours.
