Dr Autar completed his medical training over 12 years, despite multiple life-threatening conditions.
Dr Nikhil Autar was 17 when doctors gave him a 10-20% chance of surviving to 21.
But despite his acute myeloid leukaemia diagnosis, he lived another 15 years, dying on Monday, aged 32.
It was long enough to become a doctor, turn Doctors Against Violence Towards Women into a registered charity and start two social enterprises, funded through six-figure poker winnings.
He achieved this while battling graft-versus-host disease and relapses.
