Hearing in NSW psychiatrist dispute delayed over economic impact evidence

A hearing into the dispute between psychiatrists and the NSW Government has been adjourned to April after a disagreement over evidence submissions on economic modelling.
The Industrial Relations Commission (IRC) of NSW hearing started on 17 March to end a long-running battle over pay and conditions, which had led to over 200 senior psychiatrists resigning.
The planned schedule involved hearing expert evidence last Thursday and final submissions on the Friday.
However, this has now been delayed until 4 April after NSW Health unsuccessfully sought to exclude economic modelling evidence from the Australian Salaried Medical Officers’ Federation of NSW (ASMOF NSW), representing the psychiatrists.
