A prominent GP is calling on other doctors to ensure he is $100,000 out-of-pocket by Christmas — all for a good cause.

Onsite Doctor founder Dr Nathan Pinskier is pledging to match “dollar for dollar” any donations GPs make to the RACGP’s Christmas fundraiser for Foodbank, Australia’s largest food relief organisation.

He will donate a maximum of $100,000 to the non-profit, which provides food to 800,000 Australians each month.

He says he saw the impact of its work when GPs from Onsite Doctor visited patients in housing commission towers locked down during Melbourne’s COVID-19 wave last year.
