Herbalist fined for advertising ‘miracle’ COVID-19 cure

A herbalist has been fined for spruiking complementary medicines as a ‘miracle’ COVID-19 cure that reduces the risk of lung damage, says the TGA.
Based in NSW, the alternative therapist advertised on social media that their range of products could be used to treat and prevent coronavirus infection, the watchdog said.
“The advertising allegedly claimed the products were ‘a miracle COVID treatment that no-one is speaking about’,” it said in a statement on Tuesday.
“The goods themselves were advertised to … ‘address COVID infection by reducing viral load, … combats cytokine storms and lowers risk of lung damage’.”
