More than 120 doctors have passed a unanimous no confidence vote in senior hospital management, amid mounting distress over the treatment of their senior colleagues. 

The vote followed the removal of Dr David Clancy, the head of emergency and critical care, who two weeks ago was escorted from Albury Hospital on the NSW–Victoria border by executives and stood down on paid leave. 

The hospital has said the move was made pending a Safer Care Victoria (SCV) investigation into workplace culture, but stressed the decision to remove Dr Clancy did not constitute a finding of any wrongdoing.

His colleagues believe the decision was related to his public opposition to the $558 million redevelopment of the hospital.
