Hospital scientist banned after 'life-threatening' behaviour

She failed to detect a patient's anti-k antibody, resulting in a serious adverse reaction: HCCC decision

A woman, who had been struck off the health register in the UK, worked as a hospital scientist for NSW Health where she endangered the life of a patient by choosing incompatible blood for transfusion, an investigation has found.

The Health Care Complaints Commission (HCCC) has banned Titilayo Oyedele from providing health services, saying she posed a "serious risk" to the public's health and safety.

Ms Oyedele arrived in Australia in November 2014 and since that time has held various positions as a technical officer and hospital
