How this GP helped lift hotspot vax rates to 90%

As health authorities scramble to get the nation vaccinated, a Sydney GP has done his bit to help lift rates to as high as 90% in some of the city’s worst hotspots.
Dr Sunil Vyas has created a vaccination video campaign in multiple languages for Indian Australians, who have rolled up their sleeves in record numbers.
The GP says his messages are not the only reason members of the Indian community have responded to pleas to get vaccinated, but he hopes it had some impact.
Dr Vyas is president of the United Indian Associations, and has a practice in Cecil Hills, in Sydney’s southwest, which has been at the epicentre of the latest outbreaks.
