‘I can’t just sit here helplessly’: GP to deliver supplies to Ukraine
Port Macquarie-based Dr Andriy Boyko has found purpose in organising medical aid for his war-torn home country
Dr Andriy Boyko has learned to get by on a lot less sleep while he has been hustling to source medical supplies for war-hit hospitals in his birth country of Ukraine.
From his home on the NSW north coast, the GP has raised almost $100,000 and arranged for 820kg of clinical equipment to go to a trauma hospital in Kyiv.
