‘I couldn’t make any more decisions’: How doctors struggle in silence during menopause

Facing perimenopause herself, Dr Andrea Binks decided to ask 100 fellow anaesthetists about whether menopause had affected their work.
Almost two-thirds said yes.
Dr Binks realised that doctors felt forced to soldier on, even when the effect on their peers, their families and themselves was pernicious.
She spoke with AusDoc about her struggle of working through menopause and how doctors might help their colleagues.
