The government’s overhaul of GP workforce rules last week allows thousands of IMGs in rural areas to move to bigger cities without losing their Medicare provider number.
The Minister for Health Mark Butler says it will solve a workforce crisis; rural doctors say it will make it far, far worse and that Peter has simply been robbed to pay Paul.
