This is US neurosurgeon Dr Jonathan Slotkin on the alleged wonders of self-driving cars, which he says could save tens of thousands of lives a year globally because they are so much safer than putting a human being behind the wheel.
Already, a Google subsidiary called Waymo is running ‘robo-taxis’ in cities like Los Angeles and San Francisco.
