InstantScripts dodges $742,500 fine for allegedly advertising S4 drugs after TGA deal

The TGA said InstantScripts' owners had changed their website in light of the infringement notices.

The TGA has ended its attempt to fine InstantScripts, the Wesfarmers-owned GP corporate, for allegedly advertising S4 drugs to the public.

The watchdog issued the $742,500 fine last November over 45 alleged breaches, including advertising of blood pressure and cholesterol drugs.

It did not give examples of the advertisements.

But Wesfarmers Health said the allegations related to “historic issues” before it had bought InstantScripts for $135 million in July 2023 and that it had “taken steps to address the TGA’s concerns”.
