Receiving an iron infusion every one to two years could help patients with heart failure avoid hospital admission, UK research suggests.

Up to half of those with heart failure (HF) also have low iron levels, which has been linked to worse symptoms, lower quality of life and greater risk of hospitalisation and death, the British Heart Foundation says.
