‘It has taken no prisoners’: Melbourne emergency doctor on city’s COVID-19 upsurge

Dr Stephen Parnis says there is no time to waste on political finger-pointing about what is to blame for second-wave outbreak

Dr Stephen Parnis is a Melbourne ED physician who is now dealing with an ever-increasing number of COVID-19 cases.

He speaks to Australian Doctor about the new wave of community-based transmissions and how he and his team are coping.

Australian Doctor: How worried are you about what is happening?

Dr Stephen Parnis: The virus takes no prisoners. You would almost think it had a consciousness given the way it seems to exploit the weakness of any community that it finds.
