Another dispute over what constitutes appropriate topics for grand round discussions has erupted after hospital bosses were accused of cancelling a talk on children in war zones because of potential pro-Palestinian bias.
The discussion at Perth Children’s Hospital was due to take place last week.
Among the speakers was trauma surgeon Dr Martin Jarmin, who worked with MSF in Afghanistan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Another speaker was general surgeon Dr Farah Abdul Aziz, who completed two stints in Gaza with the Palestinian Australian New Zealand Medical Association.
