‘It’s the FIFA World Cup of general practice’: RACGP gears up for WONCA 2023
It is one of the largest events in RACGP history.
For Dr Nicole Higgins, staging the global WONCA conference is like putting on the FIFA Women’s World Cup for GPs.
While the stakes are lower if a keynote speaker tears a gastrocnemius, the October conference is still “one of the biggest events in RACGP history” and the largest gathering of GPs from around the world.
“It is the FIFA of general practice,” the RACGP president tells 6minutes.
“There is one main venue but there are lots of other events occurring as well.
