July MBS Quick Guide — New items for chronic disease and menopause management and indexation for FY26

AusDoc’s MBS Quick Guide for July is now available, and includes the new items for chronic disease management and perimenopause and menopause health assessment, plus updated rebates with indexation for the new financial year.
From 1 July, new items for preparing and reviewing a GP chronic condition management plan (GPCCMP) (items 965 and 967 respectively) will replace GPMP/TCA and review items 721, 723 and 732.
A new GPCCMP may be performed annually and reviewed every three months.
A temporary health assessment item for perimenopause and menopause (item 695) also comes into effect with the new financial year. This item is for a comprehensive assessment, lasting at least 20 minutes, of women with premature ovarian insufficiency, early menopause, perimenopause or menopause. This item may be co-billed with other relevant health assessment items.
