‘Kick me out!’: AHPRA grants Dr William Bay his wish

AHPRA has suspended a GP registrar who launched an anti-vaccine tirade at Chief Medical Officer Professor Paul Kelly, with the watchdog saying he “publicly demeaned and denigrated other medical professionals”.
Following his protest at the AMA conference in Sydney, where he claimed COVID-19 vaccines were killing patients, Dr William Bay was given the chance to argue why he should be allowed to keep practising at a hearing on Wednesday.
However, he was shut out of the virtual hearing after trying to “converse” with medical board chair Dr Anne Tonkin through a megaphone aimed at his phone while he stood outside AHPRA’s Brisbane office.
After being told of his suspension, Dr Bay published the correspondence on social media.
