Laser hair removal leaves patient with second-degree burns to perineal area: case report

Doctors have shined a spotlight on the potential dangers of laser hair removal after the procedure left a young woman with second-degree burns and scarring to her genital and perineal region. 

The 32-year-old had repeatedly complained to the technician of “severe pain” but was told to put up with it for the procedure to be effective, report doctors from Medical University of Plovdiv and Medical University, Sofia, Bulgaria.
