Leading GP takes to radio to rebut Pete Evans’ anti-vax comments

RACGP President Dr Harry Nespolon has had the chance to set the record straight on the Kyle and Jackie O Show after he criticised the radio duo for allowing celebrity chef Pete Evans “unfettered” airtime to promote his anti-vax views.
The celebrity chef was interviewed by the hosts of the KIIS 1065 breakfast show, Kyle Sandilands and cHenderson, on Monday morning.
Mr Evans questioned the safety of vaccines, and queried whether GPs were the best people to give advice on immunisations.
He also took aim at new requirements for visitors, staff and contractors to receive the flu vaccination before visiting aged-care facilities and described himself as “pro-choice for medical freedom”.
