Liberal Party launches website for patients to complain about GP gap fees
The Liberal Party has launched a website for patients to air their complaints about GPs’ gap fees, called howmuchdoyoupay.au.
Published on 31 October, a day before the Federal Government extended the tripled bulk-billing incentives to all patients, the website tells voters: “Anthony Albanese promised Australians that ‘all you need is your Medicare card, not a credit card’ and that it would be ‘free to see a GP’.”
“But the fact is: nearly one in four GP visits now cost you money because bulk billing has collapsed by 11% under Labor.”
It then has a form for patients to answer the question, “How much are you paying to see a doctor?” with their contact details.
