US researchers report that only one in three kids have antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 three months after infection

Most children and adolescents do not have COVID-19 antibodies in their blood after recovering from a SARS-CoV-2 infection, new data have confirmed.

US researchers in Texas recruited 218 subjects between the ages of five and 19 who had recovered from COVID-19 infections at some point in the past.

The study was designed to detect the presence of antibodies, not the amount of antibodies.
