March into an MBS rebrand — AusDoc’s Quick Guide to video, phone and COVID-19 items
New name, same info in this month's Quick Guide to the most important video, phone and COVID-19 MBS items for general practice.
From 1 March, existing MBS ‘telehealth’ attendance items will be referred to as ‘video’ items. The MBS item numbers, descriptors and rebates remain otherwise the same, and telephone items are unchanged.
The change reflects a move by the MBS to make ‘telehealth’ an umbrella term for video and phone services.
