Medical charity defends links with anti-vax group

Mind Medicine Australia says its sole interest is educating people on the data and science behind psychedelic medicines

The medical charity behind a campaign for doctors to prescribe psychedelic substances to treat serious mental health conditions has partnered with a group claiming COVID-19 vaccines are experimental, toxic and unsafe for human use.

Two years ago, Mind Medicine Australia made a formal application to the TGA to down-schedule both psilocybin and MDMA so they could be used to treat conditions like refractory depression and PTSD.

But it has emerged the charity is now an ‘associate partner’ with a group calling itself the World Council for Health.

The council says its a worldwide coalition of “health-focused organisations” and “civil society groups”.
