Medical mums sing for those in isolation
A group of nearly 300 doctor-mums has released a hauntingly beautiful rendition of Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’ to support people during Melbourne’s hard COVID-19 lockdown.
Released on Monday, the video by the group called Medical Mums Singing in Solidarity has already racked up more than 10,000 views on YouTube and is being shared on Twitter and Facebook.
The heartfelt video also includes a tribute to three colleagues who have lost their lives.
The idea for the online choir came from GP Dr Bek Ledingham from Broome, WA, who was inspired by other online choirs that have sprung up during the pandemic.
