Medical Must-See: Doctors cut out and cut open a 5kg myxoid ovarian tumour

A 36-year-old who presented after a month of left flank pain turned out to be carrying a 5kg myxoid ovarian leiomyoma.
The patient presented to doctors in Iran with her progressively worsening flank pain, which had radiated to the left lower quadrant and left inguinal region.
A “firm, large and bulky” abdominal mass was evident on physical examination.
Laboratory testing was unremarkable, except for elevated CA 125 (151 U/mL).
