The former deputy chief medical officer has lambasted doctors for misusing Medicare
Associate Professor Nick Coatsworth is making friends and influencing people again, in a series of media appearances in which he claims doctors are being too precious about accusations of Medicare fraud and misuse.
He says there is a “real threat” to Medicare and it comes from doctors wasting taxpayers’ money on low-value care.
