A bunch of newborn babies in the US have gone off the cuteness scale, after a crafty nurse crocheted baby Yoda hats for them to wear.

While all babies are adorable, the photos of the out-of-this-galaxy-cute newborns at the UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, would even have Scrooge cooing in delight.

The hospital has a tradition of dressing up its newborns for the holidays, with this year’s theme a tribute to the ‘baby Yoda’ character in The Mandalorian, a Star Wars-based TV series.

In addition to the Santa hat featuring protruding green ears, the babies were dressed in onesies with the logo: ‘cute I am’ or ‘merry I must be’.
