‘Men kill their wives and some have no idea what happened’

Working as a forensic doctor is fascinating, traumatising, exciting, confronting.
But here, Dr Sophie Ping says it is also about being there for people in the very worst of times.
“I was working as a GP trainee in regional Victoria. It was 2016. There was a lot of domestic violence around.
And one day, it occurred to me that, in the worst possible moment of a woman’s life, I would like her to have somebody who could be emotionally present and provide her the kind of support she needs.
