A formal inquiry will be held into a major hospital where senior doctors threatened to hold a vote of no confidence in their bosses amid long-running managerial conflict.

Concord Repatriation General Hospital hit the headlines three years ago after it emerged that it had a backlog of some 50,000 unreported imaging studies.

Doctors were subject to investigations, with managers claiming they were not working their agreed hours.

But while the targeted doctors were subsequently vindicated by the NSW Ombudsman, conflict has never ceased, with allegations that disciplinary proceedings continue to be “weaponised” against staff.
