Rowan Atkinson’s internationally famous character stars in WHO's latest public health campaign

Fans of comedic character Mr Bean know he can take a routine task and turn it into a disaster.

But Rowan Atkinson’s beloved, albeit frustrating, alter-ego is finally doing some good — promoting social distancing and hand hygiene.

The cartoon version of Mr Bean, voiced by Mr Atkinson, is the star of a new WHO public service announcement video.

In the 30 second video, Mr Bean — of course — struggles to pull down a temperamental blind.

When he finally succeeds, it lists essential tips for reducing the spread of COVID-19, a reminder to keep in touch with neighbours and to “be kind”.
