Mute buttons, civility scripts and a naughty corner: RACP board embraces ‘psychosocial safety’
The college chair will read out loud a statement called Consulting with Civility before every meeting.
Perhaps nothing better reflects the disturbing low to which the RACP has now sunk than its Wellbeing, Health and Safety Hazard document drawn up two weeks ago.
Leaked to AusDoc, it includes a set of behavioural rules for college directors to “minimise psychosocial risks associated with conduct and interactions during online board meetings”.
Given that the boardroom doors, metaphorically speaking, are always locked, with no-one allowed to peek in, few of us know the realities of what these meetings have been like.
They sound as much fun as Hitler’s bunker via Teams.
