Coronavirus is changing doctors’ lives at home, with some isolating from their own families to protect their loved ones from the outbreak.

It has resulted in GPs splitting their families into ‘teams’, banning hugs from their children or simply opting to move out completely.

Dr Judy Huang says she made the decision to divide the family home two weeks ago — living upstairs with her niece while her parents stay permanently on the ground floor.

“As a GP, how do I know my next patient isn’t carrying the virus?” she stated.
