The doctor said he had difficulty saying 'no' and had not been educated about prescription drug dependency before arriving in Australia

An IMG who prescribed thousands of S4 and S8 drugs to doctor-shoppers has avoided being struck off after arguing he had received no training in prescription drug dependency before arriving in Australia.

Based in southern Sydney, the doctor prescribed oxycodone benzodiazepines and fentanyl to seven patients with dependency issues before he was suspended in September 2018 under emergency powers.
